Part-Time and On-call Water and Wastewater Operator

Midwest Contract Operations (MCO) specializes in providing contract operations and technical support services for water and wastewater systems, public works operations for municipalities, utilities, and industries throughout the Midwest. With offices in Wisconsin and Indiana, MCO is proud to deliver reliable services that protect public health and the environment.

We are looking for someone that is self-motivated, reliable, and hands-on to join our operations team at Allenton, Wisconsin. As a Part-Time Water and Wastewater Operator, you’ll play a key role in keeping these critical utilities running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

• Provide after-hours and weekend coverage for water and wastewater utilities as scheduled (Approximately one week/weekend per month).
• Perform plant checks on your scheduled Saturday and Sunday.
• Respond to alarms and calls.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.

Skills & Qualifications Needed

• General understanding of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with MS Word and Excel.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills.
• Able to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
• Commitment to safe work practices.
• Prior experience in a related field is preferred.
• Training provided.
• Valid driver’s license – required
• You must be able to respond to the locations in Allenton, WI within 40 minutes of receiving calls.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs. – required

Schedule

Part-Time / Scheduled one week per month from Friday evening through the following Friday morning. Must be available for full days on Saturday and Sunday, and after hours during the week.

Pay:

$22 per hour for hours worked / Plus on-call pay
