WASTEWATER PLANT MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Fox Crossing, Wisconsin

Midwest Contract Operations, Inc. (MCO) is seeking a self-motivated and reliable individual to join our operations team as the Maintenance Manager for the Fox West Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility located in Fox Crossing, WI.

The Maintenance Manager’s prime responsibility is to keep the plant operating efficiently and reliably and that all work is completed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. Other Maintenance Manager duties consist of the following: being responsible for the proper maintenance of equipment and facility buildings and grounds, developing, implementing, and maintaining a preventative maintenance program, coordinating with contractors and vendors for corrective maintenance projects and planned projects, assisting with scheduling of maintenance and operations staff, communicating with maintenance and operations staff, managing the maintenance work load, developing maintenance budgets, being a working member of operations and maintenance staff, ability to work some weekends, performing weekend lab and operations tasks, operating a forklift, plowing snow on facility grounds, detailing and documenting completed projects, developing and maintaining prioritized project lists, and creating monthly reports outlining the completed tasks and accomplishments of the maintenance and operations team.

WASTEWATER LABORATORY MANAGER/PRETREATMENT COORDINATOR

Fox Crossing, Wisconsin

Midwest Contract Operations, Inc. (MCO) is seeking a self-motivated and reliable individual to join our operations team as the Laboratory Manager/Pretreatment Coordinator for the Fox West Regional Wastewater Treatment facility located in Fox Crossing, WI.

The Laboratory Manager duties consist of: performing routine laboratory analyses and calculations; performing equipment calibrations and maintenance; documenting laboratory analyses in accordance with DNR protocol; selecting and ordering laboratory supplies and equipment; maintaining the Quality Manual and updating the analytical procedures; corresponding with the DNR laboratory auditor and other DNR personnel; communicating with operators/staff; creating analytical bench sheets and forms; interpreting analytical data; managing the laboratory work load; mixing chemical solutions; and generating Limits of Detection (LOD), Limit of Quantitation (LOQ) and analytical curves.

The Pretreatment Coordinator duties consist of: monitoring industrial user compliance with the Fox West Regional Sewerage Commission’s (FWR) Pretreatment Program, evaluating pretreatment local limits, writing and maintaining pretreatment permits, completing and submitting annual and semi-annual reports to the DNR, initiating enforcement actions for industrial user significant non-compliance, communicating with industrial user staff and evaluating industrial user status (permitted, non-permitted).

A High School diploma along with an Associate or Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Water Pollution Control, Wastewater Treatment, or related field of study is preferred, but applicants may qualify with a combination of relevant work experience, training, or education as determined to be acceptable by Management. Previous experience in wastewater treatment laboratory procedures, techniques and laboratory equipment is helpful, but on the job training will be provided. This position requires a valid driver’s license. The ideal candidate will be detailed oriented and have excellent technical writing skills, oral communication skills, math skills, the ability to multi-task, a knowledge of MS Word and Excel and the ability to read and interpret procedural and equipment operation directions. This position requires the ability to stand for several hours at a time, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, twist, lift up to 30 lbs., and to maintain a clean and organized work station. The candidate must be willing to use appropriate safety equipment when required. This is a full time position with a work schedule during week days with some weekend work required.
